Like iron, manganese is a key constituent in the formation of chlorophyll found in zooxanthellae, supporting the photosynthetic engine inside coral tissue.
Macroalgae & nutrient export
Manganese also aids macroalgae growth, which naturally reduces unwanted nutrients in the aquarium while providing oxygen, expelling carbon dioxide, and improving pH stability.
Spread it over a week
The manufacturer recommends spreading the dose over at least one week, for consistency and to avoid sudden change.
