Step 3 — Aragonite Enhancers™

The three elements that build coral skeleton.

Once your nutrients are under control (Step 2), it's time to maintain the CAM parameters — Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium — that let corals build dense, stable aragonite instead of brittle calcite. Corals absorb these elements continuously, so they need steady replenishment.

The CAM model

Aragonite is preferred over calcite in reef tanks for its resistance to pH swings, greater hardness, and density — but building it takes all three of these in balance.

Calcium — Aragonite A™

Target 405–440 ppm. Too much drops alkalinity; too little slows coral growth and destabilizes other elements.

Alkalinity — Aragonite B™

Target 7.4–10.5 dKH (132–188 ppm). Too low and tissue detaches; too high and coral tips burn.

M

Magnesium — Aragonite C™

Target 1230–1310 ppm. Low magnesium causes more frequent alkalinity swings and coralline bleaching.
