Coral Cane® — The Complete Coral Food for Thriving Reefs

Healthy, vibrant corals start with balance — the right lighting, stable water chemistry, and a complete coral food that delivers true nutrition. Coral Cane® provides a scientifically balanced blend of marine proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and natural lipids that feed your corals from the inside out. Designed for growth, coloration, and polyp extension, it’s the all-in-one solution your reef deserves.

What’s Inside Coral Cane®

Every scoop of Coral Cane is packed with over 110 bio-available marine ingredients formulated to mimic natural reef nutrition:

  • Free-form amino acids for faster tissue repair and vibrant coloration
  • Cellular-bound proteins and fatty acids for sustained energy and skeletal growth
  • Phytoplankton & zooplankton for a full-spectrum food source
  • Essential trace elements, carbohydrates, and vitamins that drive coral metabolism
  • High-fat micro-nutrients to help corals endure periods of stress

Each jar also includes a free scoop and activator for easy, mess-free feeding and enhanced nutrient absorption.

What’s Not in Coral Cane®

No fillers. No binders. No excess nutrients. No toxic preservatives.

Coral Cane is crafted from natural marine ingredients, meaning it won’t cause cloudy water or unwanted nutrient spikes. It’s skimmer-friendly — designed to temporarily reduce foam to give your corals more time to feed — before returning your system to peak oxygenation and pH balance.

After 8+ years of research and refinement, we’ve built Coral Cane to deliver pure performance without compromise.

Why Coral Nutrition Matters

Corals get roughly 80–88% of their nutrition from photosynthetic zooxanthellae, but that remaining 12–20% must come from direct feeding. Without proper particulate and dissolved nutrition, growth slows, color fades, and coral tissue becomes thin and pale.

That’s why supplemental feeding with a balanced coral food like Coral Cane is essential for long-term success — especially when paired with stable aragonite levels to support skeletal strength.

From Nutrition to Transformation

When corals lack nutrition, color, and energy, tanks struggle to thrive.

Next up: see how Coral Cane solves the most common coral problems — from faded color and poor polyp extension to inconsistent growth and messy feedings.

Problem / Solution

Common Reef Challenges (and How Coral Cane® Solves Them)

Corals losing color?
Coral Cane restores vibrancy with concentrated natural pigments and amino acids that stimulate tissue growth and bring your reef back to life.

Poor polyp extension?
Its bio-available marine proteins and lipids trigger active feeding responses, promoting fuller polyp extension and visible coral vitality.

Experiencing slow skeletal growth?
Our balanced blend of trace elements and fatty acids enhances aragonite formation, supporting strong skeletal development and long-term structure.

Tired of messy feeding and cloudy water?
Coral Cane’s ultra-concentrated, filler-free formula dissolves cleanly — no residue, no excess nutrients, and no clogging your skimmer.

Frustrated by inconsistent results?
With scientifically tested ratios and over 8 years of R&D, every dose delivers predictable, reliable outcomes for all coral types — SPS, LPS, soft corals, and filter feeders alike.

The Coral Cane® Difference

Coral Cane isn’t just coral food — it’s a complete reef nutrition system. It bridges the nutritional gap left by photosynthesis, delivering everything your corals need to grow, color up, and thrive naturally. Pair it with Bio-Enhance™ or Pure Phyto™ for a full-spectrum feeding system that replicates the ocean’s balance inside your tank.

How it works

Coral Cane® replicates the feeding behavior and nutrient flow found in wild reef ecosystems. Each particle is engineered to remain neutrally buoyant — allowing it to stay suspended in the water column where corals naturally feed.

Once added to your tank, it follows a five-stage process that mirrors nature:

1. Suspension

Fine particles disperse evenly through water movement, creating a “nutrient cloud” similar to organic plankton drift. This allows both photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic corals to access food at their own pace.

2. Detection

Coral polyps sense free amino acids and fatty acids released from Coral Cane’s lipid matrix. These compounds act as chemosensory triggers, signaling corals that food is present and stimulating feeding response and polyp extension.

3. Capture

Polyp tentacles and mucus nets collect suspended particles. The varied particle size (ranging from micro- to macro-plankton scale) ensures compatibility with SPS, LPS, and soft corals, as well as filter-feeding invertebrates like clams and feather dusters.

4. Absorption

Because Coral Cane’s nutrients are lipid-bound, amino acids, trace elements, and vitamins remain intact until ingestion. Once consumed, these nutrients are easily absorbed into coral gastrodermal cells, minimizing waste and maximizing bioavailability.

5. Growth & Regeneration

The assimilated nutrients directly support pigment synthesis, tissue repair, and skeletal calcification — improving coloration, growth rates, and stress resistance while maintaining stable nutrient levels in the aquarium.

Directions

Precision Feeding Matters

When introducing Coral Cane®, start slow and observe coral response before increasing frequency or dosage.

While Coral Cane itself won’t raise nutrient levels, the waste produced by your corals after feeding naturally can.

It’s best to begin with smaller feedings and gradually increase as your reef adapts — this ensures stability, prevents nutrient spikes, and allows your system’s biology to adjust to the new food source.

Recommended Dosage (Per 100 L / 26 gal)

Feed twice per week based on coral density:

Lightly Stocked = ½ scoop

Moderately Stocked = ¾ scoop

Heavily Stocked = 1 scoop

(1 scoop ≈ 0.5 g. Scoop and activator rod included.)

Target Feeding

  1. Mix the required amount with 10 mL of tank water per scoop.
  2. Use the activator rod to crush and blend the food — this increases bioavailability and mimics natural lipid activation.
  3. Turn off all tank flow.
  4. Using a pipette or baster, gently target feed your corals.
  5. Allow 30 minutes for feeding before restoring flow.

Broadcast Feeding

  1. Mix the required amount with 100 mL of tank water per scoop.
  2. Activate and break down particles using the activator rod.
  3. Reduce flow to half speed and allow 30 minutes for feeding.
  4. Resume full circulation afterward.

Pro Tips

  • Begin conservatively; corals need time to adjust to richer nutrition.
  • Watch for improved polyp extension and coloration as feeding response indicators.
  • Maintain steady nutrient export (skimmer, refugium, or bio-media) as coral biomass increases.
  • Store Coral Cane in a cool, dry location with the lid tightly sealed.

Best Pairings for Complete Nutrition

For optimal results, combine Coral Cane® with complementary Quantum nutrition products:

  • Bio-Enhance™ → Provides dissolved amino acids and trace elements for enhanced tissue growth.
  • Pure Phyto™ → Supplies live phytoplankton to support filter feeders and soft corals.
  • Dual Dip™ → Protects new coral additions and ensures healthy polyp recovery before feeding.

Together, these create a balanced coral nutrition ecosystem — feeding both particulate and dissolved nutrient pathways to maximize coral vitality and reef resilience.

FAQ

Q: What is Coral Cane™ and what does it do?
A: Coral Cane™ is a coral food formulated to deliver highly digestible proteins, amino acids, fatty acids, and bio-available nutrition that promotes coral growth, polyp extension, and vibrant coloration.

Q: How do I feed Coral Cane™ to my corals?
A: Mix the recommended amount with tank water in a small container, then broadcast feed into the tank or target feed directly onto corals using a pipette or turkey baster.

Q: Which corals benefit most from Coral Cane™?
A: Coral Cane™ is ideal for SPS, LPS, soft corals, and filter-feeding invertebrates such as clams and feather dusters.

Q: How often should I feed Coral Cane™?
A: Most reef tanks benefit from 2–3 feedings per week. Heavy SPS systems may benefit from more frequent feeding.

Q: Can Coral Cane™ be used together with Bio Enhance™ or Pure Phyto™?
A: Yes. Coral Cane™ provides particulate food, while Bio Enhance™ and Pure Phyto™ provide dissolved nutrients. Together they create a complete nutrition system.

Q: Will Coral Cane™ raise nutrients in my tank?

This stuff is next level.

So I’ve been reefing many years & you could imagine how many different coral foods I’ve used over that time .. a lot !

But this coral cane is like steroids for coral, it some how blows all those other foods out of the water, you think I’m joking ? Try it & see, just make sure you have some towels handy.

Terrific feeding response, corals way more puffy & the overall general health of my corals has improved very fast, Improved growth & ca/alk uptake in relatively short amount of time after I started using it with no other changes.

That’s enough for me to see it’s a great product & I’ll continue to use it/my go to coral food.
