Aragonite B™ For Reef Tank Alkalinity
Aragonite B™ is one of our three Aragonite products. Its main function is to help stabilize your fish or reef tank alkalinity levels. Alkalinity levels are arguably one of the most critical and essential elements to monitor in a saltwater tank. If you allow levels to dip too far, your corals will begin to lose tissue. However, allow levels to get too high and the tips of your corals will burn. It’s a delicate balance to maintain, but that's where the Quantum Aragonite range comes in. These products help you keep a happy, healthy space for your marine life, without the stress.
Carbonate | Hydrogen Carbonate | Buffer
Quantum Aragonite B helps stabilize pH in your tank by providing carbonate, hydrogen carbonate and buffers. Carbonates help to stabilize pH within saltwater aquariums due to their buffering capacity. Buffering capacity is a measure of how well your tank's water can resist a pH change, and keep the water stable. Maintaining the right pH levels in your saltwater tank is imperative to the health of your marine life, especially your corals. In addition, proper pH can help build strong aragonite. That's why it's so important to monitor your reef tank alkalinity levels.
What is aragonite? It’s calcium carbonate, and is the main building block for reef structure. It’s also particularly important for stony corals and their skeletons. If growth is a major priority for your tank, you want to make sure you are on top of this. When aragonite elements are low in concentration, corals may develop brittle calcite, which leads to lower bone density and overall slower growth.

Directions:
Shaking is not required. However, if the product has been left standing for a length of time, invert the bottle 3-4 times before using.
Add Aragonite B to high water flow to help maintain proper reef tank alkalinity. This product must be used in reef aquariums and can be used on a dosing pump.
Dosing:
When it comes to dosing Aragonite B, we suggest you follow our dosage guidelines listed below:
Lightly stocked = 0.50mL/100L/26G per day
Moderately stocked = 0.75mL/100L/26G per day
Heavily stocked = 1.00mL/100L/26G per day Or as required to maintain alkalinity between 7.4-10.5dKH (132-188ppm).*
*Please Note: 1mL/100L/26G will raise alkalinity by 0.1dKH (1.8ppm).
