Easy Reefer® Easy E™- Calcium In Reef Tanks
Maintaining steady and stable levels of calcium in reef tanks is by far one of the most important things to stay on top of in your aquarium. Calcium is essential in the healthy development of structure and skeletal elements of many marine organisms, algae, and bacterial biofilms. So if growth of your corals is a big priority in your tank, optimal calcium levels are a must. Easy Reefer® Easy E™ is designed to provide calcium in reef tanks, along with other crucial elements that promote a healthy and nurturing environment for marine life.
What's In It?
Easy Reefer Easy E contains ionic and complexed calcium, as well as other key elements such as magnesium, strontium, barium, iron, manganese, vanadium, molybdenum and other minor and major trace elements to help build strong aragonite and enhance coral color.
What is aragonite? It’s calcium carbonate - the main building block for reef structure. It’s especially important for stony corals and their skeletons. When aragonite elements are low in concentration, corals may develop brittle calcite, which leads to lower bone density and overall slower growth.
Use Easy Reefer Easy-E as your supply of calcium in reef tanks to ensure happy, healthy corals. Please ensure you follow the correct dosing guidelines to avoid excess calcium in your tank, as too much calcium can lead to a drop in alkalinity levels. This impacts your aquarium water's ability to buffer and can allow pH levels to fluctuate, which can be detrimental to your marine life.

When Easy E is used alongside our Easy Z™ supplement, your aquarium will receive all the necessary major, minor, and trace elements required for coral health. The Easy Reefer supplements are perfect for those who do not have much space in their sump for multiple dosing units.

– Magnesium, Strontium, Barium, Iron, Manganese, Vanadium, Molybdenum, Metals, and Trace Elements (secret mix)
– Energy (secret mix)
Dosing:
When dosing Easy Reefer Easy E to provide calcium in reef tanks, we suggest the dosing levels below based on stock levels in your aquarium:
Lightly stocked = 0.50mL/100L (26 US gal) per day
Moderately stocked = 0.75mL/100L (26 US gal) per day
Heavily stocked = 1.00mL/100L (26 US gal) per day
Or as required to maintain calcium between 405 - 440 ppm, magnesium between 1230-1310ppm & iron between 0.002-0.004 ppm.
Additionally, the following concentrations should be considered in your tank to maintain a healthy environment:
Recommended calcium concentration = 405 - 440 ppm
Recommended magnesium concentration = 1230 - 1310 ppm
Recommended iron concentration = 0.002 - 0.004 ppm
*Please note: 1mL/100L (26 US gal) will raise calcium by 1.1 ppm, other elements will increase relatively.
